Professional education as a tool for valuing young people in rural areas
Abstract
This work presents an experience report on the actions carried out regarding professional education for rural young people, developed at the Associação de Desenvolvimento Rural de Meio de Campo (ADRMC), located in the rural area of the municipality of Governador Mangabeira, in the Recôncavo region of Bahia. To respond to the proposed objective, data collection was carried out through interviews, meetings and dialogues with a group of young people, which made it possible to identify the need to strengthen the education of young people in the community through offering professional training courses in different areas. The activities carried out showed that the courses offered in the community, in addition to contributing to the appreciation of young people, are factors that contribute to the financial autonomy of those young people who carry out the activities of the courses carried out professionally.
